Steve Sibson of Sibby Online fame has evoked the full range of emotion in the SD blogosphere and has been the unintentional inspiration for some of the best laugh-out-loud items I’ve ever seen. (Please don’t go, Sobby. I will miss you.)

This week, Sibby’s nemesis du jour - Pat Powers of the South Dakota War College - is auctioning off www.sibbyonline.com, with proceeds headed to charities. The donations will be made in Sibson’s name to, at least in one case, a pre-school institution that Sibson has reviled as “Marxist.”

Sibson sees this bit of prankster fun as an attempt to “destroy” him.

For some reason Pat Powers does not want a serious investigation into this issue, so he has issued a very personal and destructive campaign against me and this web site. …

(H)e is hellbent on destroying me.

So Sibby remains reliable in his predictable hyperbole. Powers auctioning off sibbyonline.com, I never saw that one coming.

While Sibby continues waging the apocalyptic battle raging in his own mind, I’m going to chuckle over this most recent episode and hope that Sobby gets the winning bid.

You know, nothing says Sibby can’t bid on it himself..

Though Steve and I have made a lasting peace in our time post Treaty of Holabird, I have to admit, I still laugh when Sobby posts from his favorite source, World Net Dially (ring ring!). Still breaks me up.

Those who care about truth, should buy the site for Sibby so he can spread more..well you know. Nothing like a little a little intramural Republican hair-pulling and crotch-kneeing to liven up the blosphere.

Liberals owe it to themselves to help Sibby.

More seriously, while PP is having fun with this, I don’t really view it as an area of conflict we bloggers want to venture into. If there were Marquess of Queensberry rules for blogging and websites, buying or squatting on websites with names of “opponents” to poke them in the eye would probably be banned and penalized.

Ok, Denise, now you’ve done it. The Sibbinator has you on his list!

    The gauntlet is down.

Interesting strategy he has of late, though.

He stays in his lair and throws up flares.

You wouldn’t even know he was arguing with you if you didn’t go over there to check.

(Although he has been popping up on Mt. Blogmore of late, and most, if not all of us are glad to see him. Kind of like when Mr. Haney hadn’t been on Green Acres for a while and then comes over and starts bugging Mr. Douglas (Wiken).

Plus, don’t forget how wrong you are about his not letting anyone post on his blog! Why, he’s had almost 400 guest posts in five years! That’s 80 posts a year… or (let me do the math…) a little over six posts a month, right? …half of them his replies, (and maybe about a 3rd of the remainder, mine).

(…Remember when Blogmore had over 600 posts on one thread?)

Anyway, shame on you for making fun of him.

    He hates that.

And now, trust me, you will have hell to pay.

Because there’s nobody, but nobody, but NOBODY like Sibby.

    Happy Easter, kiddo.

    Your pal, BF

    (…wipes tears from eyes…)

Ah, jeez, I hadn’t seen that until I got back to work on my own blog and saw these comments. I’ve been told before by some guy who didn’t appreciate my take on a certain situation that I’m bitter and angry. Maybe it’s true. Can you laugh hard through bitter anger? Thanks, Sibby, for making my Monday. I know you didn’t mean to, but you did anyway. Humorlessness ought to be added to the list of disabilities, eh, Fleming? Meanwhile, I’m with Sibby all the way on being aghast at the Mitchell mayor and his temper trantum over a smoke-filled-room deal gone awry. I’ll post on that after I calm down. Now THAT makes me angry. -Denise

Sibson and Powers must laugh themselves to sleep at night on the phone. They’re conspiring in this “feud” to only bring themselves more attention. Notice they are both running for public office as fringe whackos?

A peak experience involves laughing and crying at the same time. We’ve all been driven there at one time or another. But the truth is, every minute of every day is like that (if you can stand it.)

    How true it is. -Denise
